Yoneta Tour Organizers was founded in the year 2000 as a privately owned enterprise licensed to operate pilgrim tours to India and Nepal. Our first journey carried 35 passengers on a 21-day pilgrimage through sacred lands. From those beginnings we steadily grew, organizing five pilgrim tours annually and preserving the highest standards of care and service.
By 2005 our mission began to evolve. We extended our journeys beyond South Asia to the Far East, introducing Sri Lankan travellers to Singapore, Malaysia and Thailand. As the demand for diverse destinations grew we opened gateways to Japan, China, Tibet, Dubai, Abu Dhabi, the Maldives, Egypt, Vietnam, North India and Myanmar, allowing our travellers to experience the cultural, historic and natural wonders of each destination.
The quality of our tours soon drew national attention. Between 2008 and 2011 our journeys were featured by leading media platforms such as ITN’s Attapattama, Sirasa TV’s Deshatanaya and Derana TV’s Yathra. These broadcasts showcased the unforgettable experiences Yoneta Tours creates and strengthened our reputation as a pioneer in outbound tourism from Sri Lanka.
With growing confidence we embarked on new horizons, successfully expanding into Europe in 2011 with tours across Italy, France, Germany, Switzerland and the Netherlands. Today our exploration continues with plans to introduce North America, Latin America, Hawaii and exclusive experiences such as luxury cruises and scenic train journeys.
